How Does The Trial Work?

11:30 - Registration

Harry will speak to all players and parents individually and check your ID for date of birth and age. This is important for the coaches and scouts to get confirmation for each player.

12:00 - Introduction

A warm welcome from Head Coach John Dungworth and assistant coaches to explain how the day will work. Don't forget, John's brought through multiple International players and hundreds of pro players so listen hard to what he has to say!

12:10 - The Tests Begin!

A dynamic warm up and stretch to get you really focused and switched on. John has designed 7 exciting and challenging tests for you: Speed, Agility, Passing, Shooting, Dribbling, Attacking heading, Defensive Heading. You will be scored for each, coached and so learn a lot about each part of the game from the expert advice and drills.

14:45 - Break for food and drink! You will need it!

Make sure you bring along a light lunch and take in an energy drink to keep you on top form for the whole day. You can speak to any of the UKFT team and coaches during this time to ask any questions!

15:00 - Tests & Get Chance To Shine In The Games

You'll finish off the tests and then get a chance to show your game playing ability. The coaches will be looking for your ability to create space, vision, awareness, communication, time on the ball, ability to do the simple things well, your game fitness and overall effectiveness.

16:00 - Finish and Round Up From John & Harry

John will give you his thoughts on the day and a talk on what it takes to be a pro. We may ask some players to stay behind to confirm your current situation and expectations for your football.

After the trial:

UKFT coaches discuss the players and decide which players we would like to put forward to a higher level club - at either semi pro or pro level.

EVERY PLAYER GETS:

• Your individual score for each of the trial tests and your UKFT ranking and comparison against the average for the trial!
• National and regional UKFT ranking - how well did you do!?
• Player evaluation - including tips from John about each of the tests, video links and advice
• A UKFT football player CV - we have done the hard work for you - just fill in the gaps!
• The chance to join the UKFT players list for future matches against teams in your area.

• Pro player UKFT CV
• Discussion which club we think would be most suitable for your next trial.
• Organise the semi pro or pro player trials for you.
• Remember, unless you're the next Wayne Rooney it might not be in your best interests to go straight to Man United as the competition is incredible. We will genuinely do our best to get you in somewhere which you and us are both happy with!
• Help and advice every step of the way - from CV improvements to finding you an agent.
